REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The Merah Putih Village Cooperative (KDMP) is expected to complement the existing fertilizer distribution ecosystem. During the launch of KDMP held on Monday (21/07) in Klaten, Central Java, President RI, Prabowo Subianto, stated that the presence of the Merah Putih Village Cooperative (KDMP) will make Indonesia's economy even stronger.
"The concept (of the cooperative) is simple, similar to the concept of a spindle. A single spindle is weak and not strong, a single spindle has no meaning. But if dozens of spindles, hundreds of spindles are combined into one, this is a tool that can help us. So from weakness, it becomes strength," President Prabowo explained.
The President emphasized that KDMP is a solution to various challenges faced by farmers in the village, including in the distribution of fertilizer. The President also stressed that the cooperative must be present to help farmers, livestock farmers, and fishermen in the village. "These 80,000 cooperatives are an effort to shorten the distribution chain, the flow chain of materials..."
