The Ministry of Industry and Trade in China is urging exporting businesses to shift their activities to official channels to ensure faster customs clearance due to the complexities of the Covid-19 epidemic. This move is aimed at preventing the backlog of goods and means at border gates in the northern border provinces. The Ministry has stressed the importance of buying and selling under contracts with clear recipients and delivery conditions, and ensuring the quality of goods, especially for agricultural products. The article also highlights the need for standardization of cultivation processes and the creation of national brands with registered intellectual property rights on geographical indications to increase the competitiveness and added value of Vietnamese agricultural products. Furthermore, it is advised that businesses should connect directly with enterprises in the importing market and request clear contracts or deposits to avoid potential fraud or debt recovery issues.
