In Feke district of Adana, warnings have increased along with the collection period of cedar mushrooms, which serve as an additional income source for the villagers. The villagers called for caution during collection, stating that both the future of the mushroom is at risk and that there are poisonous mushrooms in the forest. In Feke district, following the Mansurlu cedar forests, a mushroom harvest festival was held in Konakkuran Neighborhood. Cedar mushrooms, bought from the villagers for 500 TL per kilogram, became an important source of income for the region, while locals said that incorrect collection methods caused the mushroom to disappear.
