Police are investigating a fraud case involving a 32-year-old orchard owner from the Staszów county (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship). The man lost several thousand zlotys while selling his cherries. The 32-year-old reported to the County Police Headquarters in Staszów last Monday (July 14) and reported the fraud. According to his account, a few days earlier he went to a nearby marketplace to check fruit prices. There he met a man who expressed interest in buying his products. "On the same day, the contractor came to purchase cherries worth slightly over 3,400 zlotys. The men agreed that the seller would receive payment for the goods the next day during another transaction. Unfortunately, the orchard owner did not receive payment. After two days, he went to the marketplace again, where he again met the buyer, who gave him a 1,000 zloty advance for the goods," states the Staszów County Police Headquarters report.
