In the first week of November, watermelon prices fell due to changing temperatures in the South and Southeast regions of Brazil, as reported by Hortifruti/Cepea. Despite this, prices are still above production costs due to limited supply. The price of large watermelons (over 12 kg) in Uruana (GO) decreased by 30.8% from the previous week, while there was a minor increase of 0.6% at Ceagesp. The supply of watermelons was also limited by stoppages at warehouses, leading to a lower quality of fruits available.
