On April 16, the national government decided to eliminate the CIBU (Certificate of Used Goods Import) through decree 273/2025. This measure generated widespread rejection from the metalworking industry, mainly from firms that manufacture agricultural equipment of national origin. Argentina has a metalworking hub dedicated to agricultural machinery that is renowned worldwide. It is for this reason that the import of used equipment puts this thriving national hub at risk, which has its epicenter in southern Santa Fe.
