During the first half of the first and the second decade of November, no precipitation is expected and the conditions will allow the implementation of seasonal agronomic measures, forecasts agrometeorologist Dukena Jolev from the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH). The rainfall in October, exceeding two to three times the climatic norms (Sofia, Pleven, Lovech, Veliko Tarnovo, Razgrad, Ruse, Pazardzhik, Stara Zagora, Burgas), maintained a high moisture content in the upper soil layers. This delayed the pre-seeding treatments and the sowing of winter cereals. For this objective reason, in most parts of the country, except for places in the Danube Plain and in the eastern regions, the agronomic deadlines for sowing wheat were missed in October.
