Indonesian exports face greater challenges According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements, as of October 31, all containers of frozen shrimp originating from Java Island and Sumatra Island in Indonesia entering the U.S. must have a radioactive element test certificate, including containers still in sea transport, which will start to undergo inspection from October 31. Indonesian company BMS has always been on the FDA red list, while other producers from Java Island and Sumatra Island are on the yellow list. On the other hand, Japan is also following the U.S.'s lead, requiring health certificates for imported Indonesian shrimp.
