The Semarang City Government in Indonesia is planning to expand the Cheap Market Movement (GPM) through the Pak Rahman program to meet the basic needs of its citizens during Ramadan. The program, which has already been implemented at 156 locations from 2022 to 2023, will be extended to 32 more locations in early 2024. The initiative aims to maintain price stability and prevent inflation in the city. The city government is collaborating with Farmer-Owned Enterprises (BUMP) and other food distributors for this initiative.
