The Ministry of Agriculture in Indonesia has noted a significant increase in the export of tea from West Java, with a 61.4% rise from January to May 2020 compared to the same period last year. Despite the pandemic, the country has seen an economic value of Rp.49.5 billion from the export of 1.2 thousand tons of tea to various countries. The United Arab Emirates is among the five countries that have subscribed to tea imports from West Java. The Bandung Agricultural Quarantine is ensuring that these export commodities meet the technical requirements and import protocols of each destination country. The agency is also encouraging the growth of young agricultural exporters by providing technical guidance and opening export clinics.
