What is the Hilton Quota and how the Government distributed it this year in Argentina

The Ministry of Agriculture assigned the distribution of the 29,500 tons of the Hilton Quota, the quota authorized to enter the European Union with tariff preferences and that Argentina established for the period between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023 . These are the highest quality chilled and boneless meats, which can enter that block without paying tariffs. Every year the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation distributes the quota among the applicants, demanding as a requirement the maintenance of the production quality standards required by European countries. The allocation of the quotas was established through resolution 237/2022 published this Thursday in the Official Gazette, which ordered the distribution of 28,174.061 tons, while the Free Availability Fund was made up of 1,214.939 tons and another 111 tons were awarded to refrigerators that will export to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
