In August 2022, Vietnam's domestic Robusta coffee market experienced price fluctuations, with a decrease in exports in July by 17.1% in volume and 17% in value compared to June 2022. Despite this, the first seven months of 2022 saw a 17.3% increase in volume and a 43.6% increase in value in coffee exports compared to the same period in 2021. The average export price of Vietnamese coffee also increased for the second consecutive month in July 2022. However, China, a key market, is reducing its coffee imports from Vietnam. Despite this, the Chinese market presents a significant opportunity for Vietnamese coffee exporters, especially in the instant coffee segment, due to rising demand in the country.
