Wheat exports from the European Union fell by 26%

From the beginning of the current season to November 7, EU countries exported 10.2 million tons of wheat, which is 26% less than the same period last season. Durum wheat exports fell by 83% to 43.7 thousand tons, the Zerno On-Line agency reports this with reference to the European Commission. The main exporters of soft wheat among the EU countries in the current season were: Romania (2.8 million tons), France (1.9 million tons), Poland (1.8 million tons), Bulgaria and Lithuania (0.9 million tons each) . Durum is exported mainly from France (34.1 thousand tons). The main importers of European soft wheat in the current season: Morocco (1.6 million tons), Nigeria (1.1 million tons), Algeria (0.8 million tons), South Africa (0.6 million tons) and Saudi Arabia (0.5 million tons).
