Wheat flour cargo seized in Natal, Brazil

120 tons of wheat flour were seized for tax evasion in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. Tax auditors arrested two trailers of the product. The seizures took place last Saturday (24th) and were only announced by the State Taxation Department on Monday (26th). Both cases took place in Parnamirim, in the greater Natal area. According to SET, two trucks loaded with 60 tons of wheat flour were seized by the tax auditors, for transporting and distributing the wheat derivative in neighborhoods of Parnamirim with irregular tax documents. The cargo valued at BRL 506 thousand is retained and, together with the fine and the tax due, add up to BRL 167 thousand, which would be withheld.
