In November 2024, Vietnam imported 354,992 tons of wheat at a cost of 101.47 million USD, with the average price per ton being 285.8 USD, marking a 26.5% decrease in volume and a 20.9% decrease in turnover compared to October 2024. When compared to November 2023, there was a 33.1% increase in volume and a 30.3% increase in turnover, despite a 2.2% decrease in price. From January to November 2024, Vietnam's total wheat imports reached over 5.37 million tons, valued at nearly 1.48 billion USD, marking a 34.8% increase in volume and an 8.3% increase in turnover compared to the same period in the previous year. Ukraine was the largest wheat supplier to Vietnam during this period, followed by Australia and Brazil, with the United States also contributing significantly. The average price per ton of wheat imported in the first 11 months of 2024 was 274.9 USD.
