Wheat market maintains slow pace in the South

The wheat market in southern Brazil continues to be marked by punctual deals and a slow pace, influenced by the behavior of the milling industry and the competitiveness between origins. A survey by TF Agroeconômica indicates that operations continue to occur cautiously, closely monitoring the outflow of flours and the evolution of regional prices. In Rio Grande do Sul, negotiations follow the hand-to-mouth model as flour sales progress. Prices practiced range between R$ 1,150 and R$ 1,200 at the mills. Rio Grande do Sul wheat maintains competitiveness in Santa Catarina and Paraná, which continue to demand some lots. Bleaching wheat, despite its good color, did not present a price advantage and was traded between R$ 1,140 and R$ 1,150 FOB, with limited demand and very punctual volumes.
