Wheat remains stagnant

The wheat market remained virtually stagnant this Thursday (17), with sellers resisting the offered prices and mills being little active in negotiations. The information comes from TF Agroeconômica, which points to a scenario of slowness throughout the South of the country, even with the gradual advance of the harvest. In Rio Grande do Sul, Emater/RS disclosed that 2% of the cultivated area has already been harvested, although market agents disagree with this number. The report highlights crops in good condition, with 50% in the grain filling phase and 30% in maturation, benefiting from mild weather, good sunlight, and low incidence of diseases. Despite occasional winds in the central-western region of Rio Grande do Sul, the productivity expectation remains positive. However, the market remains stuck.
