The Department of Agriculture reported that United States exporters sold 1.49 million tons of wheat from the 2023/24 harvest in the week ending December 7, with the main buyers being China, the Philippines, Mexico, Japan, and Chile. The volume of sales represented a significant increase compared to the previous week and the average of the previous four weeks. The total sold of around 1.508 million tons was within the forecast of analysts, who expected sales between 1 million tons and 2 million tons.
