Analysts from Picodi.com have ranked countries based on the most significant increase in the average price of seven fruits and vegetables (potatoes, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, oranges, bananas, and apples) in 2022. The most substantial price hikes were observed in Turkey (72.2% in seven months, with tomatoes increasing by 121%), Belarus (33.4%), and Russia (27.3%), while the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and Bolivia experienced price decreases. The highest increases in individual fruits and vegetables were seen in Andorra (82% for apples), Belarus (48% for bananas), and Russia (45% for potatoes).
