At the end of December, prices for food products in the Republic of Kazakhstan increased by 0.9% and by 8.5% over the year, reports the portal Eneryprom.kz. According to the portal information, in a regional context, in monthly dynamics, residents of Almaty, Shymkent, Almaty and Turkestan regions most strongly felt the rise in food prices. The smallest monthly price increase was recorded in the Kyzylorda region - by 0.2%. In annual dynamics, prices hit the pockets of residents of the Ulytau region the hardest - plus 11.8%. The top three anti-leaders also included Akmola and North Kazakhstan regions: plus 10.3% and plus 9.8%, respectively. At the end of December, prices for fruits and vegetables increased by 3.8% for the month and by 9.5% for the year. Including annual dynamics, fresh vegetables increased in price by 9.8%, fresh fruits - by 15.7%.
