In December, food prices in the Republic of Kazakhstan rose by 0.9%, marking an 8.5% increase over the year. The most significant impact was felt in Almaty, Shymkent, Almaty and Turkestan regions. Specific increases were seen in fruits and vegetables (3.8% monthly, 9.5% annually), dairy products (11.2% annually), meat and meat products (7% compared to December 2022), and bakery and cereals (10.8% annually).
