The article highlights the disappearance of the Honeygold apple variety from Polish orchards, despite its taste and high yield. The reason for its disappearance is its susceptibility to storage diseases and a delicate skin, leading to pre-harvest fruit fall. Despite these disadvantages, Honeygold's taste makes it suitable for direct sale and production of mousses and apple purees, which have seen increasing production in Poland. The variety was originally developed in the USA for colder regions of North America, showing potential for direct export despite its lower storage capacity.
