With 296.5 thousand tons, Brazilian rice exports break a record for the year in August

Last month, the country shipped 296.5 thousand tons, an increase of 20.3% compared to the volume of 246.4 thousand tons sent to the foreign market in the same month of 2022, reports the Brazilian Rice Industry Association ( Abiarroz). Still according to the figures released by the entity, based on data from the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC), export revenue in August was US$ 100.9 million, an increase of 30% compared to the US$77.6 million obtained in the same month last year. Processed rice Shipments of processed rice in August totaled 130.9 thousand tons, equivalent to US$40.1 million. Growth was 26% in volume and 33.8% in revenue.
