Turkey's Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, announced that 6 billion 495 million Turkish Lira (131 million Euros) will be transferred today to the accounts of agricultural producers in the form of support for farmers.
In his statement today, Minister Yumaklı said:
"We continue to support our producers affected by the freezing of agriculture. We are transferring an additional 6 billion 495 million Turkish Lira to our producers who are registered in the Agricultural Producer Registration System (ÇKS) and do not have agricultural insurance, as a continuation of previous payments.
With this support, we have paid a total of 20 billion 423 million Turkish Lira (419 million Euros) in aid to agricultural producers affected by freezing. We will continue to pay aid for frost damage."
