World sunflower production estimated downward

In recent weeks, international organizations have cut their global production estimates, due to the adverse effects of the weather at the end of the Russian harvest, which led to a downward adjustment of their production. However, production in this country would continue to be a record compared to previous cycles. For sunflower seeds, Oil World estimated world production of 52.9 Mt (-9% yoy), with an adjustment of -1.1 Mt compared to the November report. Estimates for Russia (-0.5 M Tn), Ukraine (-0.4 M Tn) and the E.U. (-0.2 M tons). Global milling is projected at 49.3 M Tn. For sunflower oil, no significant adjustments were observed in the global estimates on a monthly basis. The high level of existence registered at the beginning of the campaign contributed to a higher projection of world exports.
