Yeonggwang County (County Head Jang Se-il) won the Climate and Environment Award at the '30th Korea Local Government Management Awards' held on the 14th, organized by the Korea Public Governance Research Institute. The 'Korea Local Government Management Awards,' which boasts a deep history and reputation of 30 years, is the most authoritative in the nation and rigorously evaluates the administrative capabilities and policy achievements of local governments across the country to select the best local government. This award ceremony was held for a total of six categories: △Administrative Innovation △Culture and Tourism △Welfare and Health △Regional Development △Industry and Economy △Climate and Environment. The evaluation, which took place over three rounds, included 1) quantitative evaluation, 2) qualitative evaluation and public interviews by the expert review committee, and 3) a satisfaction survey.
