On November 1, a preliminary screening and tasting event will be held at the Yesan Culture Center. Establishing itself as a nationally representative competition that carries on the tradition of traditional Korean liquor. Yesan County (County Head Choi Jae-gu) announced that it will hold the "15th Daehanmingju Daesang" exclusively. This is the first time the county is hosting the event alone, and it is expected to be a nationwide festival to revitalize the traditional liquor industry and culture. The "Daehanmingju Daesang" is a competition where individuals submit their own traditional liquors to compete for excellence. It is co-hosted and organized by the Korea Traditional Liquor Research Institute (Representative Park Nok-dam) and Yesan County, and is sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Cultural Heritage Administration, Chungcheongnam-do Province, and the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, among others.
