Poland sold the most apples to Egypt

Despite the fact that for many months Romania remained the largest market for Polish apples, ultimately we sold the most to Egypt. Prices, although they have increased, still leave much to be desired. Yet Egypt! Summary data from the Central Statistical Office for the period September 2022 - August 2023 show that the largest recipient of Polish apples last season was Egypt. This was despite incomplete data repeatedly pointing to Romania. The podium looks like this: For contrast and as an interesting fact, it is worth mentioning the most exotic countries where Polish apples were found. These are: Kenya, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. In each case, the total export for the season equals the shipment of one refrigerated container. Diversification success? As we remember very well, before the embargo, a large part of our apple production was from the beginning aimed at export to Russia.
