Russia restricts catching pike-perch with fine of 500 thousand rubles

In the Rostov region, from Monday, March 15, a ban was introduced on catching some species of fish: pike perch, ram and roach. The restrictions will last until April 30. This is due to the spawning period. During this period, it is forbidden to fish for ram and roach in the Sea of Azov and in the Taganrog Bay, as well as in the Don River below the dam of the Tsimlyansk hydroelectric power station. The restrictions do not apply to the Manych River. The ban on fishing in the region will be in effect from April 15 to June 15.
