Zambézia province in Mozambique has a food reserve of over 14,000 tonnes of cereals, including corn, rice, and beans, which can supply food for the next four months. The province also has over 1,000 tonnes of various agro-processing products available for sale in the national market. The province's largest cereal producers have surpluses to sell due to disappointing prices, but awareness campaigns are being conducted to prevent them from selling all their production in search of better prices. The province's food security is guaranteed, with large productions of tubers like cassava and sweet potatoes. The province has sold over 3.1 million tons of various products in the current agricultural season, achieving 87% of its planned sales of over 3.5 million tons.
