Zimbabwe is planning to export citrus fruits to China following the 2021 Citrus Phytosanitary Protocol signed between the two countries. The protocol requires a cold chain system for the export of fresh citrus fruits and addresses plant biosecurity concerns. Chinese experts will provide technical assistance to Zimbabwe in exporting fresh citrus to the Chinese market. Both countries are also considering revising their Bilateral Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement to improve its scope.
