Corn production in Zimbabwe is expected to more than double in the 2025-26 commercial year, driven by more favorable weather conditions, according to a report by the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) of the United States Department of Agriculture. The estimate is that the harvest will reach 1.3 million tons, widely surpassing the 635,000 tons recorded in the previous cycle, which was impaired by drought. The FAS highlighted that this crop's performance was favored by a more intense La Niña weather pattern in the second half of the productive period.
