Onion Wholesale Price in Turkey Increased by 30% MoM in March (Mar 29)
The wholesale price of onions at Turkish warehouses have risen by 30% from USD 0.37/kg at the end of February to USD 0.52/kg at the end of March. The onions in warehouses are from the previous harvest in September and October 2022, sold by the farmers to wholesalers. Thus, wholesalers control the current onion supply until the arrival of the new harvest from Adana, which is expected to enter the market in the second week of April.

Price Increased of Ripe Onions in Bulgaria (Mar 27)
In Bulgaria, from the beginning of March, ripe onions gradually reached a retail price from USD 1.33/kg (BGN 2.39/kg) to USD 1.64/kg (BGN 2.94/kg). According to the State Commission for Commodity Exchanges and Markets (DKSBT), the price of onions has increased by 20% in the past week, for an average of USD 1.26/kg (BGN 2.25/kg).
