Onion Wholesale Price in Turkiye Increased by 30% MoM In March

The wholesale price of onions at Turkish warehouses has risen by 30% from USD 0.37/kg at the end of February to USD 0.52/kg at the end of March. The onions in warehouses are from the previous harvest in September and October 2022, sold by the farmers to wholesalers. Thus, wholesalers control the current onion supply until the arrival of the new harvest from Adana, which is expected to enter the market in the second week of April.
