The prices of Tahiti acid lime are increasing in the fresh market in São Paulo. According to Cepea employees, the supply in São Paulo is still quite restricted and below demand. From Monday to Thursday of W43, Tahiti has an average price of USD 17.44 (BRL 89.24) per 27kg box, up 9.37% YoY.

Peru Bets on Diversifying Citrus Exports to Vietnam, the Philippines, and New Zealand (Oct 26)

Peru is strengthening the diversification of its citrus markets, and the Association of Citrus Producers of Peru (Procitrus) commented that they hope to reach new markets by 2023. With shipments arriving in North America, Europe, and Asia opened the Indian market last year, but the logistics crisis caused delays, and the containers have not yet arrived.

The organic cultivation of lemon and grapefruit in Spain already reached 20% of total lemon and grapefruit production. According to Alimpo, the Interprofessional Association for Both Citrus Fruits, the market share of organic lemons and grapefruit will soon reach 25%. Organic lemon production in Spain is primarily located in Murcia, Andalusia, and Valencia.
