The Islahiye district of Gaziantep, Turkey, is a major table red pepper production center, with products worth 1 million dollars being sold to 25 countries. The district has 20 thousand decares of table pepper fields and 25 processing facilities, and the products are exported to countries in the Middle East and Europe, as well as America. Following earthquakes in the region, efforts were made to strengthen the local economy, resulting in significant foreign sales and a positive impact on the district's employers and farmers.
