The 5th Egyptian Honey Festival is set to take place from November 24 to 28 at the Fairgrounds in Nasr City, with 100 companies and beekeepers participating. The festival aims to support small beekeepers and introduce their products, and this year, beekeepers will be provided with collection machines for honey packing and a dedicated place at the exhibition. The honey sector in Egypt has an annual export value of 1.8 billion pounds, including 1.5 billion pounds from honey and 307 million pounds from canned honey products. The ministry of Agriculture is supporting the bee industry, which provides income to around 25,000 families, and is currently discussing opening the European market for Egyptian honey.
