The 18th edition of ExpoGenética, the largest fair for evaluated zebu cattle in the country, opened this Friday (15) and runs until August 24 in Uberaba (MG). At the launch ceremony, the president of the Brazilian Association of Zebu Breeders (ABCZ), Gabriel Garcia Cid, highlighted the strategic impact of genetic improvement: "Our production has increased by more than 137% without using any more pastureland. This advancement is possible thanks to the use of technology, of which genetic improvement is the main pillar, transforming genetics into profit."
