[Reporter Lee Woo-jung, Korea Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper] On November 13, the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Assembly's Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries Committee conducted an administrative affairs audit for the 2025 Agricultural Policy Bureau. This administrative affairs audit included various discussions on agricultural issues such as the necessity of forming a dedicated team for extreme climate countermeasures, the problem of non-effective solutions for half-price agricultural materials, the shortage of items for the support project of convenient equipment for female farmers, and the need to increase the usage rate of local businesses' products for agricultural machinery. The audit aimed to promote the development of Gangwon agriculture by evaluating the performance of project implementation and identifying improvement measures. Chairwoman Eom Yun-soon (People's Power Party, Inje) emphasized that in the case of extreme climate, it is better to take preventive measures rather than providing compensation after damage occurs.
