Vietnam has seen a significant increase in pangasius exports to its two largest markets, China and the US, reaching 55% of total exports. China's imports surged by 79% to nearly $428 million, while the US imports rose by over 100% to $356 million. This increase is primarily due to a significant rise in the average export price of pangasius, with prices in China and the US increasing by 37% and 60% respectively. Despite a decrease in exports to Russia due to the conflict in Ukraine, pangasius imports from Vietnam have seen growth in other markets such as Mexico and Thailand. The exports consist mainly of frozen pangasius fillets and cuts, with over 300 enterprises participating in the exports. The top five enterprises account for 16% of the sales.
