The Jeonnam Marine Fisheries Science Institute (Director Kim Chung-nam) is making every effort to protect marine resources and increase fishermen's income by releasing approximately 50,000 young octopuses, which were produced in-house, into the waters of Suncheon, Hampyeong, Sinan, and Muan. The young octopuses released were hatched at the Resource Development Research Institute of the Jeonnam Marine Fisheries Science Institute's Western Branch, which secured mature female octopuses from April and hatched them through over six months of feeding and stable water temperature management.
