The per capita volume of fresh fruit and vegetables has remained stable over the past decade, with a five percent increase in fresh vegetables and a five percent decrease in fruits and berries. Oranges, plums, and Norwegian cucumbers saw the largest increases in volume. The total value of Norwegian groceries' fruit and vegetables is NOK 25.9 billion. The consumer survey found that 74 percent of the population prefers short-distance food and Norwegian-produced vegetables.
