The article reports on the agricultural exports in Brazil for the first half of December, focusing on chicken, beef, and pork meat exports. While chicken exports have seen a slight decrease of 3% compared to December 2021, reaching 16,115 tons per day, they still fall within the average range for the month. On the other hand, both beef and pork exports have experienced significant growth, with pork exports seeing the most substantial increase, nearly tripling from the previous year.
The price of these meats has also improved compared to December 2021, with the most notable increases seen in chicken and pork, by 15.34% and 14.31%, respectively. Beef exports have experienced a 24% increase in volume, contributing to a 28% rise in exchange rate revenue compared to the last month of 2021. Pork exports have seen an even more substantial increase in revenue, over 50%, despite starting from a smaller base. However, chicken exports show a tendency to decrease in volume shipped, with only 50.42% of exports from the same period last year. Overall, the projections for the end of 2022 suggest that beef and pork exports will surpass the figures from the previous year, while chicken exports may not reach the same growth.
