Since the beginning of the year, the production of greenhouse vegetables in Russia has increased by 1.6%

The production volumes of protected soil vegetables in Russia are growing steadily. This year, this segment also shows positive dynamics; as of February 13, 135 thousand tons of products were grown, which is 1.6% more than a year earlier. Including the tomato harvest amounted to 59.4 thousand tons (+1%), and cucumbers – 73.4 thousand tons (+3.9%). The leaders among the regions in this area are the Lipetsk, Moscow, Kaluga, Volgograd, Novosibirsk, Tyumen regions, Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, the Karachay-Cherkess and Chechen Republic, as well as the Republics of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan.
