A court has opened an investigation to clarify the origin of the outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF) detected ten days ago in Catalonia, amid suspicions that the strain may have come from a laboratory that works with the virus of this disease. According to TV3 and confirmed by sources close to the investigation to EFE, within the framework of the case, which is under a secrecy order, the Nature Protection Service (Seprona) of the Civil Guard and the Mossos d'Esquadra have already carried out the first proceedings to determine the origin of the outbreak.
