Iryna Barzo, co-owner of the Kyiv farm "Berry Side of Life," secured a grant from the international science and technology company Corteva Agriscience to launch a line for the production of frozen fruit and berry products. The grant was received as part of the TalentA educational grant program for female farmers from rural areas in the spring of 2025. Iryna Barzo began her agricultural career in 2014, and later, together with her husband Dmytro, decided to start their own business and rented land where they began growing garden strawberries. In 2021, the lease term expired, and the couple began looking for a new plot and thinking about scaling the business. And at the end of 2022, Iryna founded her own enterprise "Berry Side of Life" on 12 hectares of leased land. The leading crop became garden strawberries, which still play a key role in the farm.
