Last week, Peru's fresh banana exports saw a significant increase of 34% compared to the same week last year, reaching 5,467 tons. Despite this slight recovery, the total shipment for this campaign has been 2% lower than the previous one, with a total of 50,120 tons. The Netherlands, Chile, and Panama were the primary importers, with the Netherlands tripling its acquisitions. Chile and Panama also increased their imports by 29% and 15% respectively. Notable Peruvian exporters include Sabrostar Fruit Company S.A., Pronatur S.A.C., and Cooperativa Agraria Appbosa.
