Since May, China's Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions have begun marketing loquats, with prices having increased by 14.7% from the previous year, reaching around 15.6 yuan/catties in April 2022. The country's total loquat cultivation area is nearly 2 million mu, leading to an annual production exceeding 900,000 tons, or over 80% of the global production. The main regions for loquat production in China include Sichuan and Chongqing, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, Fujian, and others, with 16 geographical indication products.
