[Agricultural, Fishery, and Livestock Newspaper = Reporter Na-ra Park] A new chrysanthemum variety 'Yellow Star' with deep, intense yellow color will color gardens and villages this fall. Chungnam Province Agricultural Technology Institute announced on the 23rd that it is supplying the newly developed garden chrysanthemum variety 'Yellow Star' through commercial implementation companies. Yellow Star, developed by the institute's flower research center last April, features a deep yellow flower blooming in late October with a subtle fragrance. Particularly, it has superior cold resistance compared to foreign varieties, making it possible to survive winter, and is evaluated as suitable not only for home gardens but also for creating autumn landscapes. Chrysanthemums are perennial plants that grow in native habitats in Korea.
