In 2024, ÇAYKUR, the state-owned company that buys most of Turkey's fresh tea, purchased 783 thousand tons from 49 factories and plans to purchase the same amount in 2025. The price has increased from 19 liras per kilogram in 2024. ÇAYKUR's role is crucial for the income stability of small producers in Turkey's tea-producing regions.
