According to the “Coffee: World Markets and Trade” report published by the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), record production is expected in global coffee production in the 2026/27 season. World coffee production is estimated to increase by 10.8 million bags to 189.7 million bags (each bag is 60 kg) compared to the previous season. The increase in production will be driven by record levels in Brazil, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Vietnam. The increase in these countries is expected to more than compensate for production losses in India and Indonesia. Global coffee bean exports are expected to rise by 11.9 million bags to 131.4 million bags due to the rise in production. This figure indicates a new record in global coffee bean exports.
